Summers without salads are like laptop without charger, dream without ambition, socks without shoes and food without Supermeal. And specially if you are a diet freak and want something fulfilling as well as appetizing, salads are just perfect for a quick munch. Here are some super summer salads for everyone who needs a chill.
Cucumber Greek Salad
Cut or dice cucumbers as per your need or you can also shave it using the vegetable peeler. Out them in a large bowl, now add tomatoes and olives in it. Mix in olive oil along with salt and pepper, oregano and lemon juice. Sprinkle it with green onions and toss it well.
Simple Veggie Salad
It can be made as per your need, grab some of your favorite veggies. You can have carrots, cucumber, green onion, lettuce, onion, tomatoes and potatoes [boiled]. Cut them as you need, add all the vegetables in a large bowl. You can also add red beans in it to give it a more appealing look and taste as well. For seasoning, add salt, pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, 1 tsp butter and oregano [if you like]. Mix the sauce well and now add it to the vegetables. Toss well, let it cool in fridge. The chilling super summer salad is ready to serve.
Tomato, Cucumber and Potato Salad
The easiest way to make a big yummy bowl of salad is to make a tomato, cucumber and potato salad. It is not only easy to make but also yummy to eat. Simply cut tomatoes, cucumber and boiled potatoes. For dressing, take half cup mayonnaise, half cup cream and 1 table spoon of Greek yoghurt, season it with salt, white pepper and chicken powder. Add the dressing sauce on the diced veggies.
Russian Salad
This one is my personal favorite one, and it is not only a salad, it’s a wholesome meal. Take boiled potatoes, apples, cabbage, carrots, and boiled pasta in a big bowl. In another bowl, take half cup mayonnaise and half cup cream; season it with salt, black pepper, 1 tsp sugar and mix well to make a thick sauce. Now add the mixture into the veggie and pasta bowl. Toss well and keep in fridge to chill. Serve it with garlic bread or plain butter and bread for breakfast or lunch.
Fruit Salad
Why only veggies? Why not fruits? We are blessed to have so many gorgeous fruits in summers. Water melons, mangoes, kiwis and peaches, just imaging making a salad out of these and I am sure you cannot resist the refreshing flavor. Just cut all of you favorite fruits and mix it well, season them with salt, pepper, lemon juice and orange juice. If orange juice is not available you can simple take the powder juice or the packet one, mix it all well and tadaa! The delicious fruit salad treat is ready to re-boost your inner self.
