Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Karachi organized “Young Entrepreneurs’ Day” on 5th November 2013 dedicating a day to emerging youth who are passionately working with the blend of their fresh ideas and dreaming to become an upcoming entrepreneur. Renowned companies including Foortal, Meezan Investment, Injaz Pakistan, PTCL and APTECH participated in the event to support and encourage the enthusiasm, spirit and ideas of young entrepreneurs who were set to launch their products for the first time.Event was sequenced and partitioned into two sessions. In the first session, all the young participants were to present their proposal. It was a product launch session and around 10 students proposed their product and made their best possible efforts to convince the session attendants with their product features. The way product orientation ceremony was held and presented, it was highly appreciated by the participated partner organizations.
The second half conducted as a workshop session for the counseling and guidance of students who proposed their ideas during the launch ceremony. Some well-known entrepreneur personalities were also seen during this session and Mr. Osama Siddiqui from Tamasha Theatre Company took the initial step to walk over the dice and shared his experience of becoming an entrepreneur.
Counseling session was further followed by the COO of Foortal, Mr. Ansar Shah. Being a prime example of entrepreneur, Mr. Ansar conveyed and shared his long journey experience of becoming a successful businessman. He addressed the young entrepreneurs about what hurdles they may face in the journey of success and how financial crises can hit them when you are prospering. He also emphasized on how to build your teams and how to work effectively by utilizing your limited resources and produce results. After the guiding speech, Mr. Ansar presented the famous Foortal and Pappu TVC. Event attendees gave a very positive response and appreciated creativity and deliverance of the TVC. Mr. Ansar then revealed that the hard work, dedication, motivation and self-belief are the core of success, which put Foortal today as one of the Pakistan’s leading online food portal.
Ms. Faiza Nasir, visiting faculty of MAJU spoke up to the youngsters and motivated them through her inspiring words. Ms. Leslie C. Hunter, Clinical Social Worker at U.S. Consulate General, Karachi concluded the last session and discussed about the email and report writing ethics. She provided the audience with her useful professional progressive tips and appreciated the spirit of young entrepreneurs
Being full of experiences, guidance, counseling, success stories with the combination of energetic potential of youth, event ended on a high note and guest speakers were honored by mementos presented by MAJU management.
